(B8048 WATERSIDE ROAD, KIRKINTILLOCH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On the 14 July 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on the lengths of roads and during times detailed in the Schedule below, by reasons of works being executed on or near this road. Available alternative routes will be signposted. East Dunbartonshire Council, East Dunbartonshire Council Headquarters,  12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch, G66 1TJ

SCHEDULE

1.  B8048 Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, between its junctions with Market Road and Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch.

This closure will operate from 00.01 hours on Sunday 26 July 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday 2 August 2026.

The alternative routes will be by way of the B8048 Waterside Road, the A806 Initiative Road, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road, Kilsyth, the B802 Airdrie Road, Howe Road and Auchinstarry Road and the B8048 These routes will be signposted.

2.  B8048 Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, between its junctions with Iona Way and Braes O Yetts Drive, Kirkintilloch.

This closure will operate from 00.01 hours on Sunday 2 August 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday 9 August 2026.

The alternative routes will be by way of the B8048 Waterside Road, the A806 Initiative Road, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road, Kilsyth, the B802 Airdrie Road, Howe Road and Auchinstarry Road and the B8048  These routes will be signposted.
