(OLDHILL, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from
the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Oldhill, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable mastic asphalt patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 August 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via London Road, Beech Rd, Lowther Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of:
a) Tebworth Road between A5 and Hill Cottage
b) Toddington Road between Wingfield Rd and Chalgrave Rd
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 August 2026 between the hours of 0900 and 1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period. Each closure will be done separately.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Toddington Road, B5120, A5 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF THE ONE WAY SYSTEM) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Matthew St, Dunstable approx. 30m north of West Street junction.
This temporary closure and revocation of the one way system is required to enable a new electrical connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Edward St, Union St, Princes St, West St and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Winfield Street/Waterlow Road and Clifton Road, Dunstable at the junction with High St North.
This temporary closure is required to enable fibre optic installation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from:
a) Winfield St from 10 to 14 August 2026.
b) Waterlow Rd from 24 August to 4 September
c) Clifton Road from 24 August to 4 September
The alternative route for this closure will be via:
a) Edward St, Union St, High St North.
b) Victoria St, Chiltern Rd, High St North
c) High St North, Chiltern Rd, Victoria St
The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable column renewal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 10 August between the hours of 0800 to 1800hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Southwood Rd, Morcom Rd and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 August between the hours of 2000-0500. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via A505, A5065, A505, B4540, Luton Rd, Dunstable Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
