Notice is hereby given that Under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) the Essex County Council proposes to relocate and upgrade a Pedestrian Crossing on Eagle Way, Brentwood.
1. To Remove: ‘Zebra Crossing’
The centre line of the Crossing is located approximately 39 metres west of the extended centre line of Peregrine Drive.
2. To Implement: ‘Toucan Crossing’.
The centre line of the Crossing is located approximately 32 metres west of the extended centre line of Peregrine Drive.
The width between give way lines is approximately 7 metres.
Zigzags are located as follows:
North Side: Approximately 17 metres either side of the Toucan Crossing.
South Side: Approximately 9 metres west, and 17 metres east of the Toucan Crossing.
Notice is also hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, and Parts IV and III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended),

(Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 225m north west of its junction with Well Lane for a distance of approximately 270m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30080853119 – UK Power Networks).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Ongar Road and vice versa (with access only into Ashwells Road and Crow Green Road).
The Order will come into effect on 22nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Lane, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 15m north east of its junction with Warren Lane for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06162593JB – Affinity Water).
The scheduled

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date o this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Docklands Avenue, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013348999 – Essex And Suffolk Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while interim to permanent reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Warley Hall Lane, Little Warley in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 235m south of its junction with Magpie Lane for a distance of approximately 545m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGSNMR6J – Openreach Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The clearways are scheduled to commence on 11th August 2026 for 21 days (08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday only), or where stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The clearways are required for the safety of≈the public and workforce while portakabin deliveries works are undertaken by Portakabin.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
6. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule.
7. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on that length of road as specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
