PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS THE OLDHAM (HEY WITH ZION AND ST EDWARD'S PRIMARY SCHOOL LEES) PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ORDER 2026 AND THE OLDHAM (MEDLOCKWAY LEES AREA) 20 MILES PER HOUR ORDER 2026

The Oldham Borough Council propose to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit motor vehicles from driving on Medlock Way, Lees from Further Hey Close to Rowland Way and on the entire lengths of Further Hey Close, Rowland Way, Sunfield Way and Little Oak Close on Mondays to Fridays 8.30am to 9.15am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm in term times AND to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit at all times on the same lengths of road.

Full details of the proposal are in the draft Order, which, together with a map and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at J R Clynes Building, Greaves Street, Oldham between the hours of 8.40am and 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays, telephone 0161 770 3019 or email alan.evans@oldham. gov.uk Ref: AE/TO24/27/VF24127.

Any objection or representations regarding the proposal should be sent to env.traffic@oldham.gov.uk or the Environment Group Solicitor to the Council, Spindles Shopping Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1LF, stating the title of the Order to which they relate and the grounds for making them by 17 August 2026. Any objections or representations will be made available for public inspection.
