What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
D1498 MARSTON LANE, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: D1498 Marston Lane, Bedworth closed to vehicular traffic between B4112 Nuneaton Road and B4113 Nuneaton Road. In addition, and with the permission of Canal and River Trust, the current 3t weight restriction order on the canal bridge across the Coventry Canal (ref CC-014-001). will be temporarily suspended and replaced by a 7.5t weight restriction.
Reason for Order: For public safety and in connection to the bridge strike on the railway bridge at Marston Jabbet.
Order Commences: 19 July 2026 for up to 18 months
Anticipated Completion: 31 January 2027.

ANSLEY LANE & HOOD LANE, ANSLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable overhead cabling works, 08.00hrs - 16.00hrs.

Anticipated Completion: 19 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Ansley Lane, Rectory Road, Oak Avenue, Woodside, Wood Lane, Tamworth Road, Nuneaton Road, Birmingham Road and vice versa.

TUNNEL ROAD, ANSLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to lay approximately 28m of duct.
Order Commences: 20 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Ansley Road, Birmingham Road, Coleshill Road, Ansley Common, Plough Hill Road, Hickman Road, Tunnel Road and vice versa.

ANSLEY LANE, ANSLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works for replacement of decayed telegraph pole.
Order Commences: 17 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Ansley Lane, Rectory Road, Oak Avenue, Woodside, Wood Lane, Tamworth Road, Nuneaton Road, Birmingham Road and vice versa.

ASTLEY LANE, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: New water connection works.
Order Commences: 21 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 24 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Astley Lane, Smorrall Lane, Breach Oak Lane, Howe Green Lane, Windmill Lane and vice versa.

C12 CHURCH ROAD, HARTSHILL
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Victoria Road to Church Close.
Reason for Order: Footway resurfacing and associated works, 09.30hrs - 15.30hrs weekdays.
Order Commences: 20 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: School Hill, B4114 (Coleshill Road, Camp Hill Road), B4111 Mancetter Road, Atherstone Road, Castle Road, Church Road and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
GRIFF WAY, NUNEATON
Order Effect: A 30-mph speed restriction will be imposed on Griff Way, Nuneaton from the roundabout at its junction with College Street to a point 520metres south.
Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users and of the contractors working to install a hydrant.
Order Commences: 5 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.

JUSTICE WALK & WHEAT STREET, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic; footpaths closed to all traffic.
Reason for Order: Carriageway reconstruction works for the Transforming Nuneaton A444 Wheat Street scheme. Phased works, Footpaths and roads, weekends only as follows: 31/07-03/08/2026, 07-10/08/2026, 14-17/08/2026, 21-24/08/2026, 04-07/09/2026, 18-21/09/2026.
Order Commences: 31 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 September 2026.

HUMPHREY DAVY ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Jeffery Close.
Reason for Order: To enable permanent reinstatement works.
Order Commences: 3 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 3 August 2026.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
