(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A419 trunk road, in the Borough of Swindon, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to uneven road surface.
The restrictions are expected to be in place from 19.00 hours on 19 July 2026.
The effect of the Order is to impose a mandatory 50 mph speed limit on the A419 northbound from 218 metres north of the northbound entry slip road at White Hart Junction to 27 metres north of the northbound exit slip road at Rat Trap Junction.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency service vehicles.
The speed limits will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the period of danger.
The Order will come into force on 17 July 2026 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
