What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

COVENTRY ROAD, BURBAGE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 12/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. 

The works may last for up to 1 week to allow Severn Trent Water & their contractors to undertake installation of new apparatus & other associated works. 

The proposed diversion route will be via: Salem Rd, Sketchley Rd, Pyeharps Rd & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 12/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. 

The works may last for up to 1 month to allow National Grid & their contractors to undertake installation of new apparatus & other associated works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME
Harwood Dr between the Jcts of Barwell Ln & Kent Dr, Barwell Ln from the Jct of Harwood Dr & Laneside Dr – on both sides, Hinckley.

COVENTRY ROAD, WIGSTON PARVA & SHARNFORD
TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. 

The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Openreach & their contractors to replace a decayed pole & other associated works. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 10/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. 

The works may last for up to 3 weeks to allow Dutton Traffic Management Services Ltd on behalf of Witherslack & their appointed contractors to undertake various S278 development works & other associated works. This order may include third party works. 

The proposed diversion route will be via: A447, Stapleton Ln, Main St, Wharf Ln, Fenn Lns, A444, Bosworth Rd & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. 

The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

HIGH STREET, STOKE GOLDING
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 27/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. 

The works may last for up to 5 days to allow BT Openreach & their contractors to undertake installation of new apparatus & other associated works. 

The proposed diversion route will be via: Main St, Hinckley Rd, Stoke Ln & vice versa.
