SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C620 ROAD FROM B1112 TO A1065 AND WANGFORD ROAD, WANGFORD AND LAKENHEATH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
• C620 Road from B1112 to A1065, Wangford
• C620 Wangford Road, Lakenheath
This is to facilitate surface dressing and road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1112, Malts Lane, Main Street, Brandon Road, Hockwold Road, Brandon Road, High Street, A1065 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from
• 4am on 23/07/2026 - 9am on 24/07/2026 (surface dressing)
• 17/08/2026 - 23/08/2026 from 7.30pm - 5am (road markings).
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C601, HOLMSEY GREEN, BECK ROW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C601, Holmsey Green, Beck Row from the junction with Aspal Lane to the junction with Farmers View to facilitate Fibre Network installations. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, St Johns Street, Aspal Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2026 - 12/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C473 HIGHAM ROAD, RAYDON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• C473 Higham Road, Raydon from number 1 Waterworks Cottage for 128 metres southbound
• C473 Higham Road, Raydon from 50 metres north of Wades Lane for 85 metres northbound,
This is to facilitate maintenance of a water access point. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1070, Sandpit Lane, the B1068 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/07/2026 - 24/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C730 STATION ROAD, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C730 Station Road, Hadleigh from 50 metres northwest of the junction with Hook Lane for 50 metres north westbound to facilitate communication pole resiting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Pond Hall Road, Duke Street, Back Road, Ipswich Road, Lady Lane, Angel Street, High Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 23/07/2026 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1508 SUDBURY ROAD, BURES ST MARY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1508 Sudbury Road, Bures St Mary from 450 metres north of Hollow Lane for 290 metres north westbound to facilitate the replacement of telecommunications poles and overhead cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A131, the A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 23/07/2026 from 10am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:
• U5229 Grange Road, Wickham Skeith
• U5229 Thwaite Road, Wickham Skeith
• U5229 The Broadway, Wickham Skeith, and
• U5229 Dove Lane, Wickham Skeith
This is to facilitate surface dressing and road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Wickham Road Thornham Magna, Workhouse Road, the A140, Wickham Road Thwaite and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from
• 23/07/2026 - 14/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm
• 11/08/2026 - 14/08/2026 from 8pm - 5am
With a further 0030s scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF FOREST HEATH) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF MILDENHALL) (TRINITY AVENUE (U6048) RESTRICTION OF WAITING (VARIATION No.12) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would incorporate revision 2 of Map Tiles CT35 and CS35, in place of revision 1 of the same Tiles, into the above-named 2019 Order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
• No waiting 8am - 9am and 3pm - 4pm on:
• both sides of Trinity Avenue (U6048), Mildenhall, from a point 14 metres north of the centre of Fleming Avenue (U6048),
• east side of Trinity Avenue (U6048), Mildenhall, from a point 14 metres south of the centre of Breckland Way, south for a distance of 28 metres
• west side of Trinity Avenue (U6048), Mildenhall, from a point 14 metres south of the centre of Breckland Way, south for a distance of 37 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the attendance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for blue badge-holders.
Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Mildenhall Library, Mildenhall Hub, Sheldrick Way, Mildenhall, IP28 7JX between Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
This Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is being readvertised, having previously been advertised on the 13/01/2025. Any representations made during the previous consultation period will be taken into account as part of this consultation.
Objections and any other representations to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must reach Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or at jacob.davis-sturman@suffolk.gov.uk no later than 03/08/2026. Please note that any such correspondence cannot be regarded as confidential and may be inspected by any interested party.
