(FORTH LANE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 9 July 2026 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian traffic to proceed on Forth Lane, from a point 18 metres northeast of its junction with Pink Lane to its junction with Westgate Road.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 3 August 2026 at 07:30 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 30 September 2026 at 17:30 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
