OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BECKSIDE, WILBERFOSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Beckside, Wilberfoss from its junction with Willow
Park Road north along Woldview Road onto Field
Lane and onto Birker Lane commencing 11 August
2026 at 08.00 hours until 13 August 2026 at 18.00
hours to excavate and install approximately 14 metres
of telecoms cable to link into the existing telecoms
apparatus as part of the fibre to home scheme works
for part of Beckside, Wilberfoss. The road closure is
necessary to enable the works to be carried out in
a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Willow Park Road north
along Woldview Road onto Field Lane and onto Birker
Lane, Wilberfoss CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
