SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BOTH SEATON COMMON LANE
AND CAMPEY LANE, MELBOURNE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Seaton Common Lane, Melbourne between its
junction with Champey Lane and Bibbill Lane and part
of Champey Lane, Melbourne from its junction with
Seaton Common Lane northbound for approximately
100 metres commencing 10 August 2026 at 08.00
hours until 12 August 2026 at 18.00 hours for the
purposes of excavation to install a cable link to the
existing telecoms apparatus works. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Campey Lane, Main Street,
Common Road, Melbourne Road, Everingham Road
and Seaton Common Lane, Seaton Ross CP, Melbourne
CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
