SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
KIPLINGCOTES LANE, MARKET WEIGHTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Kiplingcotes Lane, Market Weighton from a point
approximately 600 metres south of the junction of
Goodmanham Dale/Kiplingcotes Road southbound for
approximately 150 metres commencing 10 August
2026 at 08.00 hours until 28 August 2026 at 18.00
hours for the purposes of undertaking bell mouth
construction for the EGL2 scheme works. The road
closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried
out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but
it is anticipated that the works will be completed within
19 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the
road closure will be via Kiplingcotes Lane, Kiplingcotes
Road, Etton Westwood Road, South Dalton Road,
Gardham Road and A1079 York Road, Goodmanham
CP, Etton CP, Market Weighton CP, Cherry Burton CP,
Beverley Rural Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians. Further information can
