PETERHEAD - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (Windmill Street and King Street Peterhead – 18.07.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate on 18.07.26 between 08:00 and 16:00 and will prohibit any person from driving on Windmill Street, Peterhead from Victoria Road to St Peter Street and on King Street, Peterhead from Windmill Street to Ugie Street.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared to allow safe passage through the event.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety owing to the setting up and dismantling of annual float parade. An alternative route is available via Victoria Road, Ugie Street, North Street, Longate, Ellis Street, Windmill Street to St Peter Street and vice versa.
