(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Gig Lane, Heath & Reach between the junction with Leighton Rd and side of number 9.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement and overhead line works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 12 August 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via Eastern Way, Leighton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Steppingley Road, Tingrith from High Street to Church Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 12 August 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via High St, Tingrith Rd, Eversholt Rd, Tingrith Rd, C100, ZUC105 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard between The Knolls Care Home and Linslade Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable ducting work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 14 August 2026 between the hours of 0930 and 1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Linslade Road, Heath Rd, Hillside Rd, Plantation Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 14 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
