Fleet - Temporary Road Closures Due To Gas Mains Replacement Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES -A323 READING ROAD SOUTH, ALBERT STREET & CLARENCE ROAD, FLEET, HART

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED IN THE SOUTH-EASTBOUND

DIRECTION: that part of A232 Reading Road South between its junction with A3013 Fleet Road and its junction with A323 Aldershot Road will be closed heading South-East.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A3013, B3010, A323

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

1. Albert Street between its junction with A323 Reading Road South and its junction with Woodman Court.

2. Clarence Road between its junction with A323 Reading Road South and its junction with Bridge House.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A323, Connaught Road, Upper Street

DURATION OF ORDER: from 27th July 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 weeks, and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for I&G Contractors to carry out gas mains replacement works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: CUSTOMER@SGN.CO.UK

I&G Contractors will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
