Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the westbound carriageway of College Road (D3731) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3727) Frailey Hill to its junction at the roundabout with (C144) Maybury Hill. Alternative Route: Maybury Hill, (B382)
Old Woking Road, and East Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water repair works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the signed diversion route.
No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Hookstone Lane (D22) West End
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 13 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hookstone Lane (D22) West End as extends from its junction with Bagshot Road (A319) to the access for Hookstone Farm.
Alternative route – A319 (Bagshot Road) and Windlesham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate fibre cabling works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 July 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Broadway (D3603) Knaphill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 13 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broadway (D3603) Knaphill as extends from its junction with Sussex Road (D3603) to its junction with Alanbrooke Close (D7324).
Alternative route – High Street, Limecroft Road and A322 (Guildford Road and Bagshot Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable M Group Telecoms to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Church Street East (D3662) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 13 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit:- (a) vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Church Street East (D3662) Woking; and (b) people on foot or by any other means proceeding in that length of the footway adjacent to Church Street East (D3662) Woking as extends from its eastern most junction with Chobham Road (D3662) to a point 130 metres east of the centreline of this junction.
Alternative route – (a) there is no alternative route. (b) Cobham Road, Wells Plaza and the unnamed footways.
This Order is required to enable Nationwide Traffic Solutions to facilitate footbridge demolition and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 6.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Church Lane (D33) Bisley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Lane (D33) Bisley as extends from its junction with (D3560) Nasturtium Drive to its junction with (X33) Church Lane Access to Coombe Manor. Alternative Route: Church Lane, Clews Lane, (A322) Guildford Road, and Church Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
