(FOOTPATH FROM NUNCARGATE ROAD TO FOREST ROAD, KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2026 (A26-117)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kirkby in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield
The effects of the Order will be:
No Person shall proceed on foot or pedal cycle to which the public has access ("Footpath") in the following length of roads
Footpath from Nuncargate Road to Forest Road, Kirkby in Ashfield - From its junction with Forest Road for a distance of 60 metres in a north westerly direction
1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01, Monday 3rd August 2026
Until 23:59, Friday 14th August 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on Monday 3rd August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 6 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works;
