Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Arthur Road (D5318) Farnham as extends from its junction with (X67398) Merlins Close to its junction with (D5318) Arthur Close. Alternative Route: Weydon Hill Road, (B3384) Ridgway Road, (A287) Firgrove Hill, and Arthur Road, or this route in reverse; (b) Woodhill Lane (D118) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D118) Summer Hill Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Spreakfield Cottage”. Alternative Route: Summer Hill Lane, West End Lane, Shortfield Common Road, and Woodhill Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Chase Lane (D5527) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 13 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chase Lane (D5527) Haslemere as extends from the western boundary of “Clumber” southwards to the end of the road.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate leak repairs and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026 for 2 nights between the hours of 7.00pm and 11.59pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (B2131) Wey Hill to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.19 and No.21 Longdene Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (1) Longdene Road, Courts Hill Road, (A286) Shepherds Hill, and (B2131) Lower Street; (2) (B2131) Lower Street, (A286) Lower Street, (A286) High Street, (A286) Lower Street, (A286) Shepherds Hill, Courts Hill Road, and Longdene Road. This Order is required to facilitate mains water utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to: (1) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; (2) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Arthur Road (D5318) and Woodhill Lane (D118) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” as it affects that length of road specified in part (2) of the Schedule to this Notice, and; (3) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Old Farnham Lane (D5320) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 13 weeks as a rolling closure, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

(c) that length of Old Farnham Lane (D5320) Farnham as extends from its junction with (A287) Firgrove Hill to its junction with (C122) Great Austins. Alternative Route: (A287) Firgrove Hill, and Old Farnham Lane, or this route in reverse.
Hope Lane (D5353) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hope Lane (D5353) Farnham; and (b) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to this length of road.
Alternative route – (a) Folly Lane North and Bishops Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Circet UK to facilitate blockage clearance and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for pedestrians will be maintained by a walkway.
The Reeds Road (D110) Tilford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Reeds Road (D110) Tilford which extends from its junction with Tilford Road to its junction with Old Frensham Road. This Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out cabling works and/or pole testing works, which is anticipated to be completed within 8 days, between 9.30am and 3.30am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Tilford Road, Great Austins, Old Farnham Lane and A287 Frensham Road or vice versa.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)&(2) Public Footpath No. 18 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 18 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a washed out bridge. The Order came into operation on 26 January 2024. It was due to expire on 26 July 2024 but was continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 26 July 2025, it was then extended for a second time until 26 July 2026. It has now been extended for a third time for 9 months until 26 April 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Footpath No.18 (Farnham) from Grid reference: 481709 145210 at its junction with the A31 Alton Road, opposite Public Footpath No.11 (Farnham) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 100 metres, to the east of Willey Mill House at Grid reference: 481694 145118.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
