CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SANDY ROAD, POTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sandy Road, Potton at the junction with Burmo Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable new electrical connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 9 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via B1042, A1, A6001, B1040 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Arlesey between Bates Avenue and Lymans Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable S278 remedial works to speed bump work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 31 July 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Church Lane, Stotfold Rd, A507, Hitchin Rd, Stotfold Rd, Arlesey New Rd, Hitchin Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Rectory Road, Campton between numbers 10 and 57.
This temporary closure is required to enable gas mains replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 July to 11 August. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A507, Greenway, Rectory Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON QUEENS WAY AND EAST ROAD, LANGFORD
Reason for proposal: The waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles. Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Langford:-
1. Queens Road, both sides, from its junction with East Road and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
2. East Road, northwest side, from its junction with Queens Road and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
3. East Road, southeast side, from its junction with Queens Road and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
