Southampton - Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Repair Works
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (MOUSEHOLE LANE) (ROAD CLOSURE) (091/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Mousehole Lane (westbound only) from its junction with Townhill Way to its junction with Witts Hill.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete carriageway repairs.
3. The alternative route will be West End Road, Maybray King Way, Peartree Avenue, Bitterne Road, Bitterne Road West, Bullar Road and Cobbett Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 28th July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 28th July 2026.
