North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 20.33/117/2, Gilling, Order 2026 No 337 We have made this Order to prohibit any pedestrian from using the Public Footpath 20.33/11/2 in the Parish of Gilling, between grid references NZ19550380 & NZ19570371 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises) between 13/07/26 & 12/01/27, due to construction works on the Ford. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Parking, Richmond to Downholme, Richmond, Order 2026 No 362 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from parking on Richmond to Downholme, Richmond due to construction of embankment & retaining wall to replace existing retaining wall structure. Temporary Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles In Excess of 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight (Except For Access) Various Roads - East Layton, Order 2026 No 370 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any Heavy Commercial Vehicle in excess of 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight from the following sections of road (except for access): Main Village Street - From its junction with Limekiln Lane eastwards to its junction with the B6274; Moor Road - From its junction with the main village street southwards to its junction with the A66. It is envisaged that the prohibition will be in force from 27/07/26 until 21/01/28 inclusive & will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Various Roads, Colburn, Order 2026 Notice is hereby given that on 03/07/26 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to introduce the restrictions specified in the Schedule below:-
Schedule - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking
Colburn, Chartermark Way, North side from a point 45 metres west of its junction with the west side of Bailey Court (measured along the northern kerbline) to its junction with the west side of Bailey Court - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Bailey Court, West side from its junction with Chartermark Way to a point 12 metres north of its junction with Chartermark Way (measured along the western kerbline) - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Bailey Court, East side from its junction with Chartermark Way to a point 12 metres north of its junction with Chartermark Way (measured along the eastern kerbline) - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Chartermark Way, North East side from its junction with the east side of Bailey Court to its junction with the north side of Battalion Court - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Battalion Court, North side from its junction with Chartermark Way to a point 13 metres east of its junction with Chartermark Way (measured along the northern kerbline) - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Battalion Court, South side from its junction with Chartermark Way to a point 13 metres east of its junction with Chartermark Way (measured along the southern kerbline) - No Waiting At Any Time.
Colburn, Chartermark Way, East side from its junction with the south side of Battalion Court to a point 9 metres south of its junction with the south side of Battalion Court - No Waiting At Any Time.
A copy of the Order, which comes into force on 13/07/26 together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Colburn community library, The Broadway, Colburn, Catterick Garrison, DL9 4RF during normal office hours from 10/07/26 to 14/08/26 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders.
If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 03/07/26 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
