Springfield Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Highway Improvement Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5033 SPRINGFIELD ROAD, ULVERSTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway improvement works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of Springfield Road, from its junction with Springfield Park Road, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 340 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via Princes Street, A590 County Road, Victoria Road, Park Road, A5087 Well Lane, Rake Lane and the unrestricted section of Springfield Road.

The Order will come into operation on 27th July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
