EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Mill of Shield Road, Drongan) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 14 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow D In the Park Event.

Road Closure – Mill of Shield Road, Drongan
Mill of Shield Road For 325m between Drumwhill Road - Cartson Drive.

No Waiting At Any Time – Mill of Shield Road, Drongan
Mill of Shield Road - For 325m between Drumwhill Road - Cartson Drive both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 01 August 2026. The event restrictions are expected to commence from 01 August 2026 at 06:00 until 01 August 2026 at 20:00.

The Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

An alternative route is Carston Drive - Millmannoch Avenue - Coronation Road - Coyle Avenue - Mill of Shield Road - Drumwhill Road - Hannahstone Avenue.

(B769, Stewarton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 14 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – B769, Stewarton
1.6Km from B769 junction with A735 Stewarton through to North Ayrshire Boundary.

The Order commences on 27 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 27 July 2026 at 08:00 until 09 August 2026 at 18:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via A735, Kilmaurs, Irvine Road, Cunninghamhead, B769 and vice versa.

Additional Diversion for High sided Vehicles via B778, Fenwick, Main Road, B7038, Glasgow Road, Western Road, Munro Avenue, Irvine Road, Crosshouse, B7081, Springside, Dreghorn, Long Drive, B769 and vice versa

(Altonhill Avenue, Kilmarnock - Altonhill) (Temporary Road Closure,Prohibition of Waiting & Suspension of One Way Operation) Order 2026

On 14 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Installation of Traffic Calming.

Temporary Road Closure – Altonhill Avenue, Kilmarnock

Phase 1 - Altonhill Avenue from its junction with Woodhill Road to No.69 Phase 2 - Altonhill Avenue from its junction with Woodhill Road to No.76 Phase 3 - Altonhill Avenue from its junction with Woodhill Road to No.51 Phase 4 - Altonhill Avenue from its junction with Woodhill Road to No.58.

Suspension of One Way Operation - Altonhill Avenue, Kilmarnock - One Way Operation to be revoked for duration of works.

The Order commences on 22 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 22 July 2026 at 08:00 until 31 July 2026 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
Works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via Woodhill Road - Altonhill Avenue and vice versa in both directions.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(B734, Barr) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 09 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – B734, Barr - 1.5km south of Barr to Doularg Farm.
No Waiting At Any Time - B734, Barr - 1.5km south of Barr to Doularg Farm.

The Order commences on 27 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 27 July 2026 at 08:00 until 07 August 2026 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
