To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Netherfield Road/Netherfield Hill – from the junction with A2100 London Road to the junction with B2096 Kane Hythe Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2100 London Road – A271 Ten Sixty Six roundabout, North Trade Road – B2096 Kane Hythe Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 July and 13 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

St Georges Road – from the junction with U6598 Springfield Road to the junction with U6598 Crowmere Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6598 Springfield Road – B2182 Holliers Hill – U6598 Barrack Road, Crowmere Avenue and vice versa.

To allow Hailsham Roadways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Northbridge Street – from the junction with A21 Northbridge Street roundabout to the junction with C18 High Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 High Street, George Hill – A21(T) Robertsbridge bypass, Northbridge Street roundabout and vice versa.

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

St Helens Crescent – from the junction with U3288 St Helens Park Road to the junction with A2101 St Helens Road.

Diversion via U3288 St Helens Park Road – A2101 St Helens Road and vice versa.

Thanet Way – from the junction with U3037 St Helens Crescent to the junction with U3034 Ashford Road. Diversion via U3034 Ashford Road – A2101 St Helens Road – U3037 St Helens Crescent and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 27 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 29 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 15 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 17 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:

Temporary Road Closure

Dane Road – from the junction with U3128 Upper Maze Hill to the junction with U3126 Brittany Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3128 Upper Maze Hill – U3126 Brittany Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 11 July 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 27 May 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 19 June 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 11 July and 11 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. East Sussex County Council (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, No Stopping, Loading, Unloading And Parking Places)

(Rother District Consolidation) Order 2025 Amendment No * 202*

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make the above Order under  sections 1, 2, 35, 36, 37, 45, 46 49, 51, 52 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will introduce paid for parking charges and permits along the following lengths of road:Introduction of Permit Holders or Paid Parking 8am-6pm tariffs – Cooden Drive, Richmond Avenue, Richmond Close, Richmond Grove, Richmond Road and Sutherland Avenue, Bexhill.

Parking charges apply where Paid-for parking places are designated as a Paid-for parking place on the Order plans and by sign plate and as set out in Table 1 below.

Permit charges apply where parking places are designated as resident permit holders or permit holders parking places on the Order plans and by sign plate and subject to the permit tariffs set out in Tables 2 and 3 below.
