(East Dean, Singleton & Westhampnett: Qatar Goodwood Festival)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than seven days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

(i)    prohibit vehicles from travelling along Pook Lane/Forage Yard Road, between Fordwater Road and Trundle Hill; Racecourse Road, between Kennel Hill and East Dean Hill; Lower Road; and

(ii)   require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30MPH on Kennel Hill Road/Trundle Hill, from New Road northwards for a distance of 3.4KM; Racecourse Road from Trundle Hill eastwards and north-eastwards for 600M; and

(iii)  require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40MPH on Racecourse Road, from a point 600M east of Trundle Hill eastwards for 200M; Trundle Hill, from a point 60M north-west of Knights Hill southwards for a distance of 200M.

This Order is necessary to ensure safe access and egress for pedestrians and for local residents during the Qatar Goodwood Festival 2026.

The manned road closures will in place from 0900-1930hrs daily from 28 July 2026 until 1 August 2026. The temporary speed limits will be operative from 0800hrs on 27 July 2026 until 1700 hrs on 2 August  2026.

(Rogate: Bull Hill & Canhouse Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close:(i)            B ull Hill, between London Road and Harting Coombe Road; and then (ii) C anhouse Lane, between Bull Hill and Harting Coombe Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new water mains are laid.

The Order will come into effect on 27 July 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 27 July 2026 and will be completed by 15 January 2027.

(Bognor Regis: Mead Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Mead Lane in Bognor Regis from the entrance to the University of Chichester car park, northwards for 35M.

The road closure is needed to allow a broken sewer to be repaired in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 27 July 2026 and remain in force until 7 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Barnham & Eastergate: Wandleys Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Wandleys Lane in Barnham & Eastergate from Fontwell Avenue to Holmdale.

The road closure is needed to allow new electricity mains to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 7 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Yapton Road in Middleton-on-Sea from Elmer Road northwards to Sundale Lane.

The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 7 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Basin Road between Canal Wharf and the Bus Station. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 13 July 2026 and will take 10 weeks to complete.

(Chichester: Canal Wharf & Basin Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Canal Wharf and Basin Road between Stockbridge Road and Kingsham Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst sewer repair works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 13 July 2026 and will take 7 weeks to complete.
