(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
PARLIAMENT STREET, WELTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Parliament Street, Welton (whole extent). The reason for the closure is to enable approximately 30 metres of directional drilling to install a new connection works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 31 July 2026. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Chapel Hill, Cowgate, Welton Road, Water Lane, A63 from Junction A15 to Junction A1034 W, Petuaria Way, A63 Melton Interchange Westbound On Slip, Woodside Bridge South Roundabout and Monks Way East.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence Monday 27 July 2026 (between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours) and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
