SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 MAIN ROAD AND A1094 FRIDAY STREET, BENHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the

? A12 Main Road, Benhall (northbound only) from the junction with Park Road to the junction with the B1121.

? A1094 Friday Street, Benhall from the junction with the A12 for 152 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate resurfacing of a new roundabout. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A12, the A1152, the B1069, the A1094, the B1069, the B1122 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/07/2026 - 19/07/2026 from 8pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 26, CHATTISHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 26, Chattisham from 5 metres west of Chattisham Lane for 30 metres westbound for safety reasons during surfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Footpath 26, Chattisham Lane, The Street, Footpath 25, Footpath 26 and vice versa.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 23/06/2026

It is intended that the closure will operate until 22/12/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C431 RECREATION ROAD, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C431 Recreation Road, Stowmarket from the junction with the B1115 to number 9 to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1115, the A1308, Violet Hill Road, Recreation Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2026 - 24/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF HOLBROOK) (FOOTPATH 16) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

This order, which came into effect on 24/02/2026, closing Footpath 16, Holbrook from footpath 5 for 110 metres north eastbound has been extended in force by the Minister until 03/08/2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

This closure remains required due to safety reasons due to a damaged bridge and steps. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Without extension the order would have been in effect until 03/08/2026.

The diversion route will be Footpath 16, Footpath 22, Footpath 4 and vice versa.
