WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE FURNESS LOCALITY AREA)(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.11) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"),
Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.
Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 9 weeks in total and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. Duddon Drive & Derwent Bank Barrow-in-Furness - Phase 1
Duddon Drive, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Eamont Close, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 80 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Duddon Drive and Darent Avenue. Derwent Bank, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Duddon Drive, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 30 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section Derwent Bank and West Shore Road, Mill Lane and Duddon Drive.
2. Darent Avenue & Duddon Drive, Barrow-in-Furness - Phase 2
Darent Avenue, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction Duddon Drive, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 30 metres.
Duddon Drive, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Eamont Close, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 110 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Duddon Drive, Mill Lane, West Shore Road and Derwent Bank.
3. Duddon Drive & Kennet Road, Barrow-in-Furness - Phase 3
Duddon Drive, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Derwent Bank, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 60 metres.
Kennet Road, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Duddon Drive, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 25 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Duddon Drive, Darent Avenue, Severn Road and Derwent Bank.
4. Severn Road, Barrow-in-Furness - Phase 4
Severn Road, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Derwent Bank, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 115 metres.
Alternative Route: via Derwent Bank, Duddon Drive and Darent Avenue and the unrestricted section of Severn Road.
5. Kennet Road, Barrow-in-Furness - Phase 5
Kennet Road, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with Duddon Drive, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 115 metres.
Alternative Route: via Duddon Drive and Darent Avenue.
