What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MAIN STREET, SWADLINCOTE
WHEN: 04 August to 07 August 2026 (08:00 to 16:00)
WHERE: Main Street, Swadlincote between Oversetts Road and Tilley Green.
REASON: To facilitate water pipe renewal.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Park Road, Woodland Road, Burton Road, Cadley Hill Road, William Nadin Way, Civic Way, Midland Road, Belmont Street, Church Street, Midway Road, Newhall Road, Union Road, High Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
