Eastney Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Eastney Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.124) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 30th July 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
MIDDLESEX ROAD
From its junction with Eastney Road for 10 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 30th July 2026 to 7th August 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 - 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Middlesex Road, Prince Albert Road, Suffolk Road, Eastney Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
