THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BEESTON BRIDLEWAY NO.73, MEDOW LANE CROSSING)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed and
(d) cause any animal to proceed,
in the following length of bridleway at Beeston in the Borough of Broxtowe: -

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Monday 27th July 2026 at 23:30 hrs to Tuesday 28th July 2026 at 05:30hrs inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route available.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable essential railway maintenance works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 15TH DAY OF JULY 2026
