B1337 GRANGEMOOR ROAD, WIDDRINGTON STATION
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1337 Grangemoor Road, Widdrington Station, for a distance of 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective on the 2nd August 2026 until the 3rd August 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 2nd August 2026 until the 3rd August 2026 between the hours of 23:00 and 05:00 during this period.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B1337, A1068, A197, B1337 and vice versa, and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management in order to lift out the level crossing for tamper works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

GREAT NORTH BIKE RIDE 2026
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council ("the Council"), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, has on the 01 July 2026 made the Northumberland County Council Great North Bike Ride 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026 ("the TTRO").
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Great North Bike Ride 2026 ("the Event") by restricting traffic on the B1340 Seafield Road in Seahouses from its junction with Seafield Road to Seahouses Harbour, to the Main Street roundabout for 85 metres, and the B1340 Main Street in North Sunderland from its junction with Seafield Road to its junction with King Street for 175 metres ("the Road").
The TTRO shall come into force at 08:00 hours on 30 August 2026 and will remain in force until 10:00 hours on 30 August 2026, subject to the provisions of Section 16B of the Act.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being St Aidans, Broad Road, Main Street and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C47 NORTH CHARLTON TO BROWNIESIDE, BROWNIESIDE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C47 North Charlton to Brownieside from its junction with the A1 heading in a westerly direction for a length of 55 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th July 2026 until the 20th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th July 2026 until the 14th July 2026 between the hours of 20:00 until 06:00 during this period; however, the Order will remain in place until 20th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A1, C47 and vice versa, and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by CHC Highways on behalf of National Highways to carry out sign installation. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PARISH OF CALLALY (RESTRICTED BYWAY NO. 16)
EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2026
The above Order was made on 17th June 2026 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order will be as follows:
Restricted Byway No. 16 (Parish of Callaly)
To extinguish the restricted byway, from a point on alleged Restricted Byway No. 13, 20 metres north-east of Crosshill Farmhouse (OS grid ref: NU03580935), in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 55 metres, to a point 50 metres north-west of Crosshill Farmhouse (NU03530938).
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and map have been placed, and may be seen free of charge, at The Lindisfarne Centre, Lindisfarne Road, Alnwick, NE66 1AU, and the offices of Legal Services, County Hall, Morpeth during normal working hours. Copies of the Orders and map may be purchased. They can also be viewed online at https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/about-council/digital-maps/public-rights-way-northumberland#orders-and-notices.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Northumberland County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
