(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and which came into force on 11 January 2026 with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 11 January 2027. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to construction works in connection with a Highways Agreement continuing in the vicinity.

The effect of the Order remains unchanged and is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 2585, from its junction with Abbey Road (518105.916, 111526) eastwards for a distance of 296M to its junction with track (518324.991, 111699.626).

Unfortunately, there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.
