Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) B3353 (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with Westlands Lane to its junction with A365 to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out excavate track in the highway to install HV ducting. Alternative route via A365 – B3019 – A4 – B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 August 2026 and the closure will be required until 06 September 2026. B) Lamberts Marsh (Part), Southwick; from its junction with A361 to its property known as The Stables to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via Lamberts Marsh (unaffected length) – Wesley Lane – Frome Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 5 days. C) B3108 (Part), Winsley; from its junction with Winsley Road to its junction with Limpley Stoke Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 04 August 2026 and the closure will be required weeknights only between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 12 August 2026. D) Leigh Road (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Gooselane to its junction with Laverton Road to enable Openreach to carry out cabling and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 07 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 03 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30 for 5 days. F) Drynham Lane (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with A363 for a distance of approximately 300m in a north easterly direction to enable Mua Electricity Ltd to carry out connection and associated works. G) A342 (Part), Bromham; from its property known as No.120 St Ediths Marsh for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out urgent mains leak repairs and other associated works. Alternative route via A342 (unaffected length) – A361 – A365 – Spa Road – A3102 – A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 for 1 night. I) Mons Lane (Part), Lacock; from outside its property known as Great Notton Farm for a distance of approximately 847m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cabling works and other associated works. Alternative route via Mons Lane (unaffected length) – A350 – Mons Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023.
J) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C157 for a distance of approximately 568m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cabling works and associated works. Alternative route via B3353 (unaffected length) – A365 – B3109 – A4 – B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023.
Orders A) to J) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (WESTERN WILTSHIRE) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT NO.4) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend The County of Wiltshire (Western Wiltshire) (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 by introducing Trowbridge Leisure Centre Car Park to the Order, operating Monday to Sunday, 8am - 6pm, 3 hours No return within 3 hours. Deposit copies of the draft Orders, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Trowbridge Library, County Hall BA14 8JN during the hours of 9am to 7pm Monday, Thursday and Friday and 9am to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday until 3 August 2026.
