What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (BARLBY ROAD) 2026

The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.

Barlby Road to be closed from the junction of Ladbroke Grove to and including the junction of Admiral Mews.

The road is to be closed to vehicles for crane works.

The restrictions will come into force from 05.00hrs on Saturday 25th July 2026 until 21.00hrs on Sunday 26th July 2026, with backup dates of Saturday 8th August 2026 to Sunday 9 August 2026.

Barlby Road to be closed from the junction of Ladbroke Grove to the junction of Admiral Mews.

• Diverted through traffic can use Ladbroke Grove, Cambridge Road, St Mark's Road, Barlby Road, in both Directions.

• There is no diversion route for the closure of Admiral Mews.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to:

• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.

• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
