The A3 GLA Road (Hook Rise South, Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Stopping) Order 2026

1. Transport for London in consultation with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable sewer works to take place on the A3 Hook Rise South in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering or proceeding in a westerly direction on Hook Rise South between its junctions with Oakcroft Road and Fullers Way South, access will be maintained between Oakcroft Road and the extended common property boundary of Nos.321 and 323 Hook Rise South;

(2) stopping on Hook Rise South between its junctions with Ashcroft Road and Fullers Way South;

(3) stopping on Fullers Way South between its junctions with Hook Rise South and Willcocks Close;

The Order will also:

(4) permit two-way operation on Hook Rise South between its junction with Ashcroft Road and the extended common property boundary of Nos.321 and 323 Hook Rise South;

(5) permit all vehicles to enter the westbound bus gate at the junction of Cox Lane and Oakcroft Road.

The Order will be effective between the dates of 26th July 2026 and 28th July 2026 every night 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternate route will be indicated by traffic signs via Oakcroft Road, Cox Lane, Hunters Road and Fullers Way South to normal route of travel.
