MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC150764415: The City of Manchester (Belle Vue Street, Gorton & Abbey Hey Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Belle Vue Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Belle Vue Street, Hyde Road, Pottery Lane, Wenlock Way, Gorton Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate pre-surface dress patching works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 27th July 2026 to 14th August 2026 as and when traffic management is deployed. The order shall come into operation on 27th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
