Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
1. Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Bury Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Hornbeam Lane for a distance of approximately 125m in a north westerly direction. (Hoe Lane, Nazeing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hoe Lane, Nazeing in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Palmers Grove for a distance of approximately 90m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2026 for 2 nights (2000-0500), or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410286872 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water main repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.
An alternative route is available via Betts Lane, Nazeing Common, Common Road, Epping Road, Tylers Road, Hamlet Hill, Sedge Green, Pecks Hill, North Street, Middle Street (with access only into Hoe Lane) and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Langston Road, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Langston Road, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Lenthall Road for a distance of approximately 205m in a north easterly direction.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2026 for 56 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2408758 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway reconstruction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Sheering Road/Churchgate Street, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Sheering Road, Harlow in the District of Harlow, from a point approximately 9m east of its junction with Drakes Meadow for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Churchgate Street, Harlow in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Sheering Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a southerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 10th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410307982/MX04410307982 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber installation and cover replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.

(Back Lane, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Back Lane, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 200m south east of its junction with Sheering Lower Road a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2026 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06161793JB – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connections works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via B183, Pond Lane, Sawbridgeworth Road, Sheering Lower Road (with access only into Back Lane) and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brook Road, Epping) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Road, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 120m south east of its junction with Sunnyside Road a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (MU048UCS0482_KW_01 – Thames Water Utilities). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Thames Water Utilities.

(Epping Road, Roydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Epping Road, Roydon in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Hansells Mead for a distance of approximately 660m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGTMNW3FPTSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Foster Street, North Weald Bassett) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Foster Street, North Weald Bassett in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Hobbs Cross Road to its junction with Green Lane a distance of approximately 110m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2404107 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway defect repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Green Lane, Green Lane, Hobbs Cross Road and vice versa.

(High Road, Chigwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of High Road, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction in that length of Hainault Road, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with High Road to its junction with Manor Road for a distance of approximately 1095m as cited in “Epping Forest District Council Epping Forest District (Weight and Width Restrictions) (Amendment No.1) Order 1988” for the duration of the closure only.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU055-L726-U59-LDN-04 – Thames Water Utilities).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hobbs Cross Road, Theydon Garnon in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 390m north east of its junction with Epping Lane for a distance of approximately 335m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. (New Road, Burnham-on-Crouch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Road, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 80m south west of its junction with Devonshire Road a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001509777 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Devonshire Road, Lilian Road, Crouch Road (with access only into Alpha Road and New Road) and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.9) 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Epping Forest as specified in schedule 1 to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule 1 and 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 2nd July 2026 exact dates will be specified on One.Network. These roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion route will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
