NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Station Road, Wilmslow
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

The alternative route will be via Manchester Road, Manchester Road Roundabout, Dean Row Road, Dean Row Road Roundabout, Adlington Road Roundabout, Adlington Road, Macclesfield Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 10th August 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 6th November 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 22 (PART) IN THE
PARISH OF HANDFORTH) – Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2026
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 22 Handforth which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 8650 8328 and runs in a generally east-northeast direction for approx. 161m. to OSGR SJ 8665 8335.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by surfacing works on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order was made on 2nd July 2026 and will come into force on 13 July 2026. It will remain in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
The Order does not prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the path or way affected by this Order
