TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION

TR023414 – Nantwich Road in Winsford

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic speed on the following length of road in WINSFORD to enable works to be carried out by JE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).

A530 NANTWICH ROAD: Wallange Bridge – Speed reduction from 50mph to 30mph to 20mph

The Order will continue in force the 21 day notice that came into force on 19/06/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately eight weeks to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR022379 – Venables Road in Northwich

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Pedestrian crossing points, tactiles and kerbline works.

Footway closure: Alternative route will be provided works to be carried out by JE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).

VENABLES ROAD: Venables Road (in conjunction with works on Witton Street and Meadow Street)

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 20/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately three weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via:

Diversion 1 – Venables Road, A559 Chester Way, Leicester Street, Venables Road

Diversion 2 – Venables Road, Leicester Street, A559 Chester Way/Station Road gyratory, A559 Chester Way, Venables Road.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Pedestrian crossing points, tactiles and kerbline works.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Pedestrian crossing points, tactiles and kerbline works.

Footway closure: Alternative route will be provided works to be carried out by JE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).

MEADOW STREET: Closure between Sheath Street and Venables Road (in conjunction with works on Witton Street and Venables Road). Access to Sheath Street will be maintained.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in WINCHAM to enable excavation to replace existing water main with new main works to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.

GREEN LANE: Outside 48 to Outside 68

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 27/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 15 days to complete.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable sewer repair in carriageway works to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.

LONDON ROAD: O/S No 58 (CW9 8AJ)

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in TARPORLEY to enable excavation to replace existing water main with new main works to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.

QUARRY BANK: Junction of John Street to Outside Clover Cottage.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
