What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Moneyfield Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.127) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th July 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
MONEYFIELD AVENUE
On the northside from its junction with Salcombe Avenue for 20 metres in both westerly and easterly direction.
On the northside from its junction with Redcar Avenue for 20 metres in both westerly and easterly direction.
On the southside from its junction with Sidmouth Avenue for 20 metres in westerly direction.
On the southside from its junction with Seaton Avenue to outside the Electricity Sub Station.
SEATON AVENUE
From its junction with Moneyfeild Avenue to outside No.42 Seaton Avenue, on both sides.
From its junction with Teignmouth Road to outside No.8 Seaton Avenue, on both sides.
REDCAR AVENUE
From its junction with Moneyfeild Avenue to outside No.3 Redcar Avenue, on both sides.
SALCOMBE AVENUE
From its junction with Moneyfeild Avenue to outside No.4 Salcombe Avenue, on both sides.
TEIGNMOUTH ROAD (NORTHSIDE)
For 20 metres in both westerly and easterly directions on the junctions with Sidmouth Avenue and with Seaton Avenue.
SIDMOUTH AVENUE
From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue for 20 metres on both sides.
From its junction with Teignmouth Road for 10 metres on both sides.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate lining works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th July 2026 to 5th August 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
