TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Whitefield
- Parr Lane, Whitefield – from outside property No.60 to outside property No.260
- Sunny Bank Road, Whitefield – between Bloomfield Drive & Parr Lane
- Kennedy Drive, Whitefield – between Parr Lane & Harris Drive
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works
The alternative routes will be:-
Whitefield
- Via Hollins Lane, Hollins Brow, Manchester Road, Bury New Road, Moss Lane, Parr Lane & vice versa
- Via Sunny Bank Road, Manchester Road, Hollins Brow, Hollins Lane, Parr Lane & vice versa
- Via Harris Drive, Cunningham Drive, Montgomery Drive, Parr Lane & vice versa
The proposed Order will come into operation on 27/07/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 weeks (9:00 – 15:30hrs).

TEMPORARY ONE-WAY WORKING ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Longsight Road, Ramsbottom in a southerly direction – between Bolton Road West & Pot Green
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Electricity Northwest works
The alternative route will be via Holcombe Road, Brandlesholme Road and Longsight Road.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 27/07/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 days.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
- Peel Way, Bury – from Jubilee Way to a point 50m east of Harford Road
- Rochdale Old Road, Bury – from its junction with Chesham Fold Road to its junction with Martin Street
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works
The alternate routes will be for Peel Way – via Jubilee Way, Angouleme Way, Rochdale Road & Derby Way & vice-versa; for Rochdale Old Road - via Bell Lane, Derby Way, Rochdale Road, Bury New Road, Bury Street, Bridge Street, Dawson Street eastbound/Market Street westbound, York Street, Queen’s Park Road, Bury & Rochdale Old Road & Rochdale Old Road & vice-versa
The proposed Order will come into operation on 27/07/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works at each location is approximately up to 5 weeks, overnight working, 20.00hrs to 06.00hrs.
