THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER)
(KING EDWARD ROAD E17) (TEMPORARY MEASURES)
(NO.1) ORDER 2026
The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 9th July 2026 it made an Order to enable excavation works to repair defective sewer to be carried out by Thames Water, in a safe and efficient manner, in King Edward Rd E17.
The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in King Edward Rd, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Blenheim Rd and the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 68 King Edward Rd:
(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at “any time”; and
(b) to suspend any designated controlled parking spaces.
The Order will come into operation on 14th July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.

(GARFIELD ROAD E4) (TEMPORARY MEASURES)
(NO.1) ORDER 2026
The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 9th July 2026 it made an Order to enable service pipe relays works to be carried out by Thames Water in a safe and efficient manner, in Garfield Rd E4.
The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in Garfield Rd, between Station Rd and Cross Rd;
(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at “any time”; and
(b) to suspend any designated controlled parking spaces.
The Order will come into operation on 13th July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 3 months, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.
Whilst the prohibitions referred to above remain in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic shall be in place.
The restrictions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:
(a) in connection with the said works; or
(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).
NOTE: Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned roads which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
