What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order,

Upton Bypass, Upton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 July 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary road closure on Upton Bypass, Upton as indicated by signs on site.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Upton Bypass, Upton.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.

All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along between A350 and Home Orchard, a distance of approximately 70 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 3 August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 August 2026.

This Order will enable Ford Civil Engineering to reconstruct settled trench reinstatement within carriageway.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

It will come into operation on 21 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4 August 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: B3075, East Morden as indicated by signs on site.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3075, East Morden.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 22 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 August 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: B3075 Sturminster Marshall and Louse Lane, Spetisbury as indicated by signs on site.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3075 Sturminster Marshall and Louse Lane, Spetisbury.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Order comes into operation on 17 July 2026 the effect of the Order will be to introduce new 30mph speed limits along lengths of A347 New Road, West Parley and B3073 Christchurch Road, West Parley.

Dorset - 30mph, 40mph and 50mph

Speed Limit Orders 202*

Dorset Council proposes to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the Orders will be to formalise the existing 30mph, 40mph and 50mph speed limits along sections or entire lengths of various roads in Colehill, Shaftesbury, St Leonards and St Ives, Verwood and Weymouth. No changes to the existing speed limits on the ground are proposed; the Orders are for administrative updates only.
