(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close New England Road in Haywards Heath, from Hazelgrove Road to High Trees.
The road closure is needed to allow new watermains to be installed in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 27 July 2026 and remain in force until 4 September 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Haywards Heath: Farlington Avenue)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Farlington Avenue in Haywards Heath throughout its entire length.
The road closure is needed to allow watermains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 27 July 2026 and remain in force until 13 November 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order the affected length of road will be closed in short sections as works progress. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Burgess Hill: Public Footpath 1BH)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 1BH in Burgess Hill from its junction with The Blackthorns, eastwards to a point 10M west of the railway underpass.
The road closure is needed to allow utility cables to be installed in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 27 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order an alternative route for pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to the vehicular route under the railway will not be affected by the works.
