Twyford Common Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Telecoms Cabling Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U71616 Twyford Common Rd, Temporary Road Closure Order 2026, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71616 Twyford Common Rd, from the junction with Hoarwithy Rd to Twyford Brook Barn. Grid Ref: 351577/236474 to 350983/235257.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Twyford Common Rd onto Aconbury Lane onto the C1261 Hoarwithy Rd and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to telecoms cabling works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 6th of August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 6 days (09:30 to 15:30, Mon-Fri only).
