Proposed Temporary Westbound Closure of B3070 Worgret Road, Wareham
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3070 Worgret Road, Wareham between Encombe Road to Worgret Roundabout (Westbound Only, a distance of approximately 640 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 23 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 August 2026.
This Order will provide a safe working area to enable SGN to replace a gas main.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using B3070 West Street, B3075 North Street, Saxon Roundabout, A351 Wareham Bypass.
