(DARNING LANE, THORPE AUDLIN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 205) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for tree trimming/felling to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Darning Lane, Thorpe Audlin for approximately 353 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Darning Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Causeway Garth Lane, Pontefract Road, Thorpe Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

10th July 2026 between 09.00 hours to 16.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STANSFIELD ROAD, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 206) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for tree surgery to remove over hanging branches to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stansfield Road, Castleford for approximately 300 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stansfield Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Wheldon Road, Royds Avenue & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th July 2026 between 09.00 hours to 14.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation clearance & cabling works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tun Lane, South Hiendley outside Innistree Cottage. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tun Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate Lane, George Street, Tun Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

13th July 2026 to 15th July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KIRKGATE LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 208) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation clearance & cabling works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kirkgate Lane, South Hiendley from Manor Gardens to Little Elliott Manor. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kirkgate Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate Lane, High Well Hill Lane, Brier Lane, George Street, & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th July 2026 to 15th July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WOMERSLEY ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 221) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Network Rail to complete track works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Womersley Road, Knottingley at the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Womersley Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Spawd Bone Lane, Headlands Lane, Hill Top, Weeland Road, Womersley Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th July 2026 to 26th July 2026 between 23.55 hours to 08.50 hours open at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ELIZABETH DRIVE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 223) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway maintenance patching to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Elizabeth Drive, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Elizabeth Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Leyland Road, Woodside & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th July 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ORCHARD DRIVE, ACKWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 224) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Orchard Drive, Ackworth full length from the junction of Barnsley Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Orchard Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, pedestrian access maintained at all times and residents access maintained when safe to do so.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th July 2026 to 6th August 2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SLEEPHILL LANE, UPTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 228) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install water main washout and chamber to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sleephill Lane, Upton opposite Sleephill Cottage. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sleephill Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wrangbrook Lane, Doncaster Road, Hazel Lane, Straight Lane, Bannister Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th July 2026 to 31st July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, open at all other times or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
