Kingsway - Temporary Road Closure Due To Pedestrian Crossing Construction Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80322, Kingsway, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80322, Kingsway, Hereford, from the junction of College Road to the junction of Queensway. Grid Ref: 351296/240980.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Kingsway onto Old School Lane, onto College Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to pedestrian crossing construction works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 nights.
