THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN BASSETLAW) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAIT) ORDER 2026 (BS26-198)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Gringley On The Hill in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road at Gringley On The Hill in the District of Bassetlaw: -
Pitt Lane, Gringley On The Hill- From its junction with Finkell Street for a distance of 90 metres in a northwesterly direction.
Middlebridge Road, Gringley On The Hill- Between its junctions with Horsewells Street and Ings Road.
Ings Road, Gringley On The Hill- Between its junctions with Carr Road and Middlebridge.
Low Street, Gringley On The Hill- From its junction with Horsewells Street for a distance of 30 metres in a southwesterly direction.
Carr Road, Gringley On The Hill- From its junction Ings Road for a distance of 1200 metres in a northwesterly direction.
1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: Monday, 13th July 2026 Sunday, 6th December 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: To be signed on site
The Order will come into force on Monday 13th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Anglian Water to carry out mains renewal scheme.
